I've been in the throes of setting up a Ghost-hosted blog for a couple of weeks and yet, once I get to Leaflet, I feel the urge to write and publish immediately. It must be the environment. There's enough mucking about with Ghost that you need a definite plan before digging in, and, well, that's something that doesn't quite suit me a lot of the time.

Welcome, I'm Oisín. I've spent my three-decades-long career working in software and technology oriented businesses, doing all the technically-aligned jobs you can possibly do, and maybe some that should not ever have existed in a right and proper world.

As the experience of being a technologist has mutated across the years, some things remain the same. There are tons of people around the world that use software to solve significant and worthy challenges, and I like working with them. Unfortunately there are a much smaller cadre of loud charlatans that are only in it for the yachts, and I have no interest in being on their bandwagon(s).

I'll be writing about technology, software development, leadership in business, and some of the movements in The Tech Industry. You'll see facts, but also opinions. There will be some personal posts too, as I have an interminable interest in technology and creativity.
